“I’ve had the privilege of attending multiple workshops led by Colleen and I’ve learned so much! Her ability to challenge and equip pastors on how to love, care for, and empower women in our local churches is immensely valuable. I will be a better pastor because of her impact on my life. She is a gift to the building up of Jesus’ church!”
Colleen would love to come to you! Combine several workshops to build an equipping event custom-tailored for your church. Invite other churches in your area to join!
Participants will be equipped with:
- a doable, step-by-step outline for studying the Bible
- accessible tools to use in Bible study
- open-ended questions to jump-start discussion
- transition statements to use in discussion
It is intimidating to begin leading and teaching. Anchored in a study of Matthew 14:13-33, common fears will be addressed like:
- the fear of comparison
- the fear of not knowing the answer
- the fear of lack (I haven’t been to seminary!)
Learn and practice solutions for common discussion challenges like:
- the rabbit trail
- engaging the shy participant
- moving on without offending
- the incorrect answer
- plus, the secret to initiating robust discussion!
Participants will discuss and consider the following:
- the vision driving your Bible study
- how Jesus cared for people and taught
- specific ideas for how to handle prayer in Bible study
- connecting with church leadership to plan for care, and more!
A study of Psalm 1:1-3 and 2 Timothy 3:13-16 will anchor this discussion about being in the Word versus only being in proximity to others who are in the Word.
We need the influence and ideas of female image-bearers in the church. In this workshop, four practical tools will be unpacked for male pastors who want to give women the courage to lead, particularly on a male-dominant team.
The women of your church are in different seasons, wrestling with different challenges, and healing from different wounds.
How do you know where to begin? We will ask 6 questions to give you a starting place from which to build.
Learn practical tools and a useful outline to teach a Bible passage with context and background in mind. In this two-hour workshop, you will practice the process of gathering context and content in order to teach through Psalm 37:1-11.
In an effort to focus on her local church and Meet Me in the Bible, Colleen is no longer able to speak at 3-session retreats. She IS leading Meet Me in the Bible workshops at churches and conferences.
